ALERT THE PRESS EVERYONE!!!

It has come to my attention that Dave Williams has been criticized for his campaign color choice of YELLOW AND BLUE, for using “Fred Davis’ sign colors”. I guess we better get on the Delusional Duck and criticize the lines on the roadways, slow children at play signs, school buses, yield signs, pedestrian walk way signs, deer crossing signs, railroad crossing signs, speed limit signs, school zone signs, handicap and every other sign that is YELLOW for their “color choice”. They are YELLOW for a reason, they stand out better than any other color! Coiencedence that all of these very important street signs are also YELLOW? I think not! So did Dave Williams copy Fred Davis’ colors of YELLOW and BLACK? NOPE. Just a smart choice of color to stand out amongst all of the other signs. Oh and by the way…It got your attention didn’t it

You don’t believe me?...Here is a link to all of the important YELLOW signs that you will see EVERYWHERE:

And all those yellow “warning signs” are to warn you of a hazard ahead.

Thanks for pointing out the correlation.

These are also the colors of Sam Graves.  Word is that old Sam will soon endorse Williams for Sheriff.  I would think that would be the official kiss of death for Williams.

Hopefully Sam does endorse him. Like putting the nail in the coffin. Mr. Graves certainally does not have many (if any) friends left at the CCSO. I know three female employees who would agree.

The Bay Net:

Meet the Candidate: Dave Williams for Charles County Sheriff

Dave Williams finally announced his platform in this interview.

“Williams also pledged to increase the number of officers on the street, explaining, “By using trained officers that are currently performing non-law enforcement duties such as managing the fleet and in IT, we can get more presence where it is needed, in the neighborhoods where crime is committed.”

I feel safer already.  He is going to take 2 officers out of support positions and put them in neighborhoods.  Now that is one hell of a great agenda.  I got an idea.  How about Mr. Williams not try to get the Sheriff’s Budget cut and instead demand as a citizens that the Sheriff be given the support staff he needs to run the agency?  I guess that would be too easy.

My sister came out of her house this morning to find a Dave Williams sign in her front yard.  No one ever asked her if they could put it in her yard.  One of her neighbors told her the same thing happened to her.  The neighbor was scared to take it down because she didn’t know she had the right to take it down.  Is anyone else hearing stories like this?

Now Bill, this is a boat load of BS and you know it! Some lowdown skunks have been going
around and knocking down and damaging DAVE WILLIAMS’S signs. This phoney story is being
put out there as a justification to damage the mans signs. Why can’t you guys give the man
a fair chance?

One of DAVE WILLIAMS signs just happen to pop-up in YOUR sisters front yard? Bill,
what did you do, swipe a couple of Dave’s signs and put them in your sisters yard
so you would be justified in tearing up his signs? Do you actually think that we
believe that DAVE WILLIAMS people stuck one of his signs in your sisters yard…give
me a break!!!

I predicted weeks ago that this would happen. Go back and re-read the thread. Now leave
The mans signs alone!!

DocHoliday,

You have got some nerve accusing someone of illegal activity without any justification to do so.  You are attacking me because someone put Dave Williams signs in yards without permission.  Nothing like turning the tables.  You are very defensive.  Are you the Dave fan who is putting signs in peoples yards without their permission?  Unless you have some police reports as proof that Dave Williams signs are being damaged, I don’t believe a word you say.  Grow up.

I have lived in Charles County for many years and have seen many elections. I have also
seen quite a few Sheriffs come and go, but what I have never seen is a candidate roaming
around the county and indescriminately sticking signs on peoples front lawns. It just
doesn’t happen. To quote JUDGE JUDY, “If it doesn’t make sense, it’s probably not true”.

Go back and re-read the thread Bill. YOU were the one that said that YOU would be willing to
do ‘anything’ to stop DAVE WILLIAMS in his bid to become Sheriff. So quit your whining…

hmmm

**I don’t need a police report since I saw the damaged sign with my own two eyes. One of
Dave’s large signs on RT.225 had been beat up and nearly knocked over. And I can
guarantee you that the ‘fink’ that damaged that particular sign has also damaged others.

And no, I’m not the person placing Dave’s signs for him. Actually I have not seen Dave in years.

Irregardless, I still say that DAVE WILLIAMS will make an excellent SHERIFF If he is
elected.

I’m wondering why with all these former and current officers running for Sheriff, if they all have such great ideas and plans for CCSO why didnt they bring them to life while they were working there?
The two command staff level officer were involved in staff meetings on a weekly basis, neither said” I have a great idea to try”.
That would have been a great basis for running later, Hey, I thought of this! We havent seen that, Nope, its I’ll change this or that when I run for Sheriff.
Maybe I’m jaded but make a change for the better while you work for an agency instead of changing it later on.

I thought with the FOP endorsement process beginning Tuesday night it seemed that the majority of current members most likely don’t remember the 1998 election between Fred Davis and Rex Coffey.  It seems ironic that Dave Williams would even seek the endorsement of the organization considering the contempt he exhibited to the FOP in the past.  To put this in proper context, you must realize Dave Williams was a rabid Fred Davis supporter.  Several old timers will remember the way he launched an investigation into the FOP board’s handling of the country concert at the fairgrounds during the summer of 1998 (after the organization had just endorsed Rex Coffey). Including, bringing a tape recorder into the FOP’s monthly meeting and surreptitiously and illegally recorded the meeting.

When that didn’t bring discredit to the organization he launched an internal affairs investigation against the FOP’s Vice President, Jon Norris.  You see, at the time (1998) Dave Williams was chief of the internal affairs unit of the Sheriff’s Office and used the position for his political means.  Ultimately Norris filed a law suit against Dave Williams and Fred Davis which exposed his political agenda and his baseless allegations. The internal affairs case Williams brought against Norris was dismissed by the Charles County Circuit Court.

Whenever he disagreed with the FOP in the past he attacked the organization.  Now I guess for political purposes he has decided to seek the organization’s support. Ask any officer that worked for the Sheriff’s Officer during Dave William’s tenure as internal affairs chief and they will tell you how he took great pleasure in putting the screws to them.

It should also be mentioned that even when Rex Coffey didn’t get the FOP endorsement in the past, he never attacked the organization or said anything disparaging about the FOP or its members.

FOP members should think carefully about who they want to support on Tuesday night.

I forgot about that. Isn’t that the case where Dave Williams used his 10 year old daughter as the complainant?  I have heard over and over again from friends on the Department that he really enjoyed the job in Internal Affairs way too much.  That reminds me that when the FOP endorsed Coffey, Williams wrote on his van windows “This FOP Family supports Davis”.  Nothing like supporting the FOP.  With members like that, who needs enemies?

Insider you’re quite a chatterbox. Cases are brought and dismissed all of the time. A
different JUDGE may have ruled a totally different way. Cases have been known to move all
the way up to the Supreme Court with the case going back and forth as it moves higher. Capt.
Dave Williams was simply doing his job. The truth of the matter is that no one enjoys
being the focus of an investigation. The system worked, so lets not try and make this out to
be the “Nuremberg Trials”.

Did the JUDGE write in his ruling that Capt. Williams used that particular investigation
to further a ‘political’ agenda or is this just some of your own personal ‘editorializing’.

I think we all know the answer to that.

blank stare

Oh and by the way, since you’re going so far back in time, how about telling us who
‘really’ shot JFK and while you’re at it {Great Oracle} you can also tell us what really
happened to the DINOSAURS.

Like I said before, Dave Williams had a job to do and he did his job. End of story.

Geez, even Ray Charles can see the political motivation there. I can’t imagine any cop voting for someone who is adversarial with their labor representative and actually believing their work environment/benefits are going to get better ????

Thanks, FOPinsider for bringing this very accurate account of 1998 events out to the readers. Dave Williams sure had no problem putting the screws to the FOP then! Now, I am sure he sings a very different tune.HUMMMM?????  Snake in the grass?

The fact that an investigation was initiated at or near the same time
of the FOP’s endorsement is nothing more than a coincidence.

Enough with the ‘piling-on’ guys.

Well…I don’t know anything about someone’s child being dragged into the fray.

Maybe this was some sort of misunderstanding.

I guess we will see soon enough if Williams has been able to pull the wool over the eyes of enough officers to get the endorsement.  For their sake, I just hope they know what they are getting themselves into.  I will put a $100 on it that Davis I mean Williams will do nothing but attack personalities instead of sticking to the issues tonight when he talks to the FOP.  That is all he has.  Can we really afford to go backwards?

Thanks for posting that Quack. Just as I thought….much to do about nothing and
more of a misunderstanding than anything else.

Most cops get along, respect and support one another. I’m sure that most of the
cops that have come in here to ‘pile-on’ Williams previously got along with him just
fine until he was assigned to Internal Affairs. It’s a thankless , but necessary job.

I would venture to guess that most all cops would ‘run for the hills’ if they heard
that they were being considered for Internal Affairs.

Dave Williams was a very professional and highly decorated “Police Captain” with well over
{20} years of Law Enforcement service to the citizens of Charles Co. As a candidate for
Sheriff he should be afforded a fair opportunity to make his case before the FOP and the
citizens of Charles Co.
