Greetings, all.

Our annual Truman-Kennedy dinner will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Jaycees in Waldorf from 6-10 pm.

This dinner is our largest fundraiser of the year, and attracts over 300 attendees.  Now is the time to consider a sponsorship or an ad in our program.  For details, please go to http://www.charlesdems.org.  Tickets are $55; you can reserve/purchase tickets now.

We will be presenting our annual awards to three outstanding Democrats.  There will be a notice published in the Independent asking for the public to submit nominations for these awards.

There will also be a silent auction with many interesting and fun items.

I’ll be posting details and speaker information once our agenda is firm.

Please join us!

Each year, the Charles County Democratic Central Committee honors three outstanding Democrats.  The three awards that are presented are the John Thomas Parran Award (also known as “Democrat of the Year”), the Truman Award and the Kennedy Award.

This year, the committee is soliciting nominations from the community.  Nominations may be submitted via the committee website (http://www.charlesdems.org) or by U.S. Mail.

A description of each award as well as more detailed instructions for submitting a nomination may be found on our website.

The results will be determined at our April meeting and results will be posted on the website.

Deadline for nominations is 2 April.  Please consider submitting a name for consideration!

Where is the photo of Vinnie stealing KR’s sign?  I heard your “official” photographer captured the moment.  Did the DCC forbid you from posting it?

If there is a photo, the photographer has not yet shared it with us.

And I don’t do ‘forbid’ very well.

Oh, yeah, please post that photo.  Vinnie is a DCC member; Vinnie rips off a KR campaign sign at the Truman-Kennedy Dinner; Vinnie gets caught red-handed by KR and a hired photographer….heh, Vinnie, not the sharpest tack in the box!

A photo is worth a thousand words.  Vinnie might enjoy seeing a photo of himself skulking around the T-K Dinner parking lot….heeeeheeeee…..
