This will be a true test of the seriousness of county Dem voters. If this clown wins, just because he has a “D” next to his name, then all hope is lost.
My point is only that there sure is a lot of activity, and I can’t help but wonder if these continuing kerfuffles would distract Mr. Ippolito and impair his ability to govern.
Do we really need a commissioner who seems to be plagued by more kerfuffles and Fehltritte? To be fair, there is also commissioner candidate from the other side of the aisle who has several entries in the same website.
I have been witness to moments of lunacy demonstrated by Mr. Ippolito. He appears to have a violent temper and an odd affect. Not what I would consider “statesman” material. Just an opinion.
As for the “case searches”, I would caution against drawing too many conclusions without knowing all the details (goes for both sides). I have learned in recent months that good people can find themselves in bad situations. While a quick check of the Judicial Case Search page can uncover “potential” bumps in the path of a candidate (or anyone else), it shouldn’t be the end-all bottom-line on anyone.
What if there happens to be a confessed judgment in there, Francis? (Not for Mr. Ippolito, but another candidate, perhaps.) Would that be a different, in your opinion?
No mellowing with age for me. This guy’s a whack-job. The DCC should be ashamed to have him on their committee let alone run for Commissioner. Is this the best they can offer for District 4?

My understanding is that this is a “Vinny decision” not a “CCDCC decision” to have Vincent Ippolito run for Commissioner.
TWD, I have learned recently that things aren’t always what they seem. I used to be a dyed-in-the-wool, throw-the-book-at-em kind of guy. Now, I believe in listening to what people have to say. Should it send up a red flag? Absolutely. Are there instances where things are probably exactly as they appear? Absolutely. I just know for a fact that sometimes good people find themselves in bad situations and deserve to tell their side of the story before you slam the door on them. Again, goes for both sides.
Also, the central committees (both sides) have no say in who files for candidacy. They can be a great source for potential candidates to acquire info and seek out support but everyone has the right to file on their own for any office for which they meet requirements.

Good point, and I believe the same; also, how they choose to comport themselves. Vinnie didn’t pass the sniff test when he ripped off Robinson’s sign. It was immature, vengeful, and pretty damn dumb all because he supports another candidate. No dumb commissioners wanted; no immature commissioners wanted; no vengeful commissioners wanted.
Just a question, if there were a couple of Republican choices, would Vinnie get the nod just because he’s a Democrat? It is, after all, very difficult to get elected as a Republican in Maryland (even if the Dem is a guy like Vinnie).
