I read the article in the Independent about Foster today and got a good laugh. I noticed he did not really deny any of the allegations made by any of the female complainants. He tried to minimize his actions but not deny, that is called a clue. He also mentioned that he was a Rex supporter and that he is African American and that both of those had something to due with him being fired. Are we playing the race card already, I thought that was reserved for after the primary.

Wait, how did Foster and Jesse Williams decide who was going to get to play the race card. Can two candidates both play the race card? Is it first come first serve on the race card? I thought there was only one race card in the deck, may be they are like jokers and there are two. Can an African American Republican play a race card?

Anyway if he is a Rex supporter why is he running? One last thing and I will quit this rant. Can you get fired for sexually harassing females and work in a high school? That is like bringing the chickens to the fox.

Munch, You bring up a good point.  Does PG County Schools know why he was fired?  They do have a track record for hiring people with issues.  For example there was a recent bus driver who was arrested for sexual child abuse.  I hope nothing has happened.

Charles County hired a former captain in the sheriff’s department as a school bus driver. He left the sheriff’s office under a cloud of sexual harassment allegations.

He went on to higher office in the county.

I think the article in the Independent was shameful.  For the majority of other candidates (including myself), the reporter conducted interviews and then “introduced” the candidate.  In this case, it appears that the reporter went out of his/her way to turn an introduction into something very negative.  I can understand if the Independent wants to run investigative articles that dig into candidates’ histories; however, is the initial introduction to the candidate really the most appropriate place for this?

I am a relative newcomer to the county (9 years) but I imagine if the reporters really put their minds to it, they could probably dig up enough material on other candidates to fill an entire issue.

The Independent certainly didn’t do Foster any favors. But then again, the truth hurts. If we could just get them to introduce Sam the same way….
