Barbara, I noticed that too.  I think our dear Edith is trying to pretend she was something other than Cooper’s go-fer during the last 4 years.

Have you seen the FOP’s signs around the county? Did you read the last LTE to the Indy from the FOP president?  Both have been pretty clear about how the FOP feels about the commissioners. Edith is taking quotes from a year ago and pretending they are relevant now.

then accuses her ‘opponent’ of using bad tactics and distorting her record.

Edith is grasping at straws.  If her best shot is to highlight in red an amaturish slam against CQK, she crapped that up, too, just as she did being District 2 commissioner.  My take is if CQK wanted to go after Edith and her “record”, it would be like shootin’ fish in a barrel—just too easy.  Have you noticed how losers have a way of pointing to their opponent and try and lay blame for why they’re losing?  Edith has no class; no smarts, either.

(this is my opinion and no one elses)

YET there is a very large group in this County who say you vote for the ‘sister’ (and this IS what is said- not Edith, not DR Patterson, not Commissioner Patterson), this group have been told things and believe them- I d not think they have seen the actual work done or completed; just what they have been told.

Don’t we all know people from work or in our social surroundings who are always ‘victims” or whatever they want to complain about- and they do it so convincingly I think the person doing it may actually believe the tales she tells is so; then others believe it to; and it gets spread in a close Community or group.

First, most editorial sections of the print media endorse candidates. Just look at the Washington Post, Baltimore Sun, etc. It is nothing new and there is nothing wrong with it. As for Edith, if I recall she was confused, by her own admission, as to her vote for the CCSO pay issue and ended up (by default) the only one that actually voted for the men and women of the CCSO. Now she tries to take credit for supporting them when it was her mistake in the first place. Way to go Edith…..

The cable news shows all show themselves to be biased. Shoot, so do the national news stations ABC,NBC, and the very “upper crust” CBS.

Fox does present another view, a conservative view that rings true to many viewers.

Chris Matthews & Rachel Maddox slam the right in the most hateful manner and I just sit there venting to what they just said because they are so far left.

So while you may want to slam Fox News, go ahead. Voters are being turned and encouraged to make a change from the bottom up and when it happens in Chuck County, it is because news commentors have given the country a voice to be heard.

Too bad they got this one wrong Bill. I can’t wait for Sheriff Williams to take office.

The Indy gets a lot of things wrong.  I guess we will know what the citizens think in just a few days.  Let’s see, Indy, FOP, AFL-CIO and Delusional Duck all endorse Coffey.  Williams endorsed by ??? Notta.

I get it, I just don’t like it.  If the rag guy at the local car wash decided to proclaim his list of endorsements, would the Indy print it as news?

If the car wash guy wrote a letter to the editor and signed it, yes the Indy would print it.. not as news, but as a letter to the editor.  An editorial is just that, and editorial (noun article in a periodical presenting the opinion of the publishers or editors) similar to a letter to the editor, but often with better writing and research.
