Security (User names & Passwords)A user may create a user name, screen name and password to access or submit personally identifiable information, and to leave comments on this web site. Under some circumstances, additional rights, such as the ability to “post entries”, may be granted to some users to allow them to begin entries of their choosing. These limited users will not have unfettered access to personal information of other users of this site. Only the Delusional Duck (DD) administrator(s) has or will have access to this information.
All registered users have the access to begin entries of their choosing on the discussion forums.
One should not divulge their password to this site to anyone. The Delusional Duck administrators will never ask a user for a password in a telephone call, fax, e-mail or other form of unsolicited communication. When a user is finished with an application or applications associated with, or accessed through this site that are password protected, such user should log-out and exit the relevant page(s). If the browser used to access said password protected pages is a publicly-accessible browser, users should close down the entire session and, if applicable or possible, flush any temporary caches or other areas where such a password might be stored subsequent to use.
The DD maintains ongoing efforts to identify and/or block unauthorized intrusions into or onto DD, and to upload to or change information on or otherwise cause damage to DD or the information resident hereon or submitted hereto.
Access credentials, such as user names and screen names are subject to the final approval of the DD administrator(s) and their designees. Denial of a user, user name, screen name or other credentials can occur at anytime, with or without reason, even after an account has already been activated and the screen name has been used.
Any attempt to create a pseudonym used to falsely represent a user as another, or an actual person that is not the user, will result in that account information, including user name, screen name or other personal information being modified, deleted and/or banned at the sole discretion of the DD administrator(s).
In most cases, only one account (user name, screen name, etc.) per member will be allowed. Multiple accounts will be approved on a case by case basis, and shall be at the sole discretion of the DD administrator(s). Any attempt to create multiple accounts without the prior, expressed permission from the administrator(s) will result in a pending account request to be denied, or an existing account to be deleted. Multiple existing accounts that were not approved could result in all accounts being deleted and all future account requests to be denied.
Collection of Information by Delusional Duck
When visiting this Web site, DD automatically collects and stores the following information about your visit:
- The Internet Protocol address and domain name of your Internet service provider. The Internet Protocol address is a numerical identifier assigned either to your Internet service provider or directly to your computer, which can be used to direct internet traffic to you;
- The type of browser and operating system you used;
- The date and time you visited this site;
- The web pages or services you accessed at this site and the files that you downloaded;
- The URL or address of the Web site you visited prior to coming to this Web site and from which any web page on this site was linked.
DD may disclose personal information to federal or State law enforcement authorities to enforce its rights against unauthorized access or attempted unauthorized access to DD’s information.
Information Submitted to Delusional Duck
During a session on the DD Web site, a user may affirmatively submit information to the DD by, among other means, electronic mail ("e-mail"), by filling in and submitting an on-line form, or participating in the web log or discussion forums of the DD website.
The DD does not rent or sell personally identifiable information (i.e., information such as name, address, phone number, e-mail, etc., that identifies a user as a particular person), nor would the DD exchange or trade such information with third-parties without a user's explicit permission.
If a DD user has elected not to receive further information from the DD, DD will not send such information. If a DD user has elected to receive further communication from the DD, DD will only send information in categories that have been authorized. If DD sends electronic mail ("e-mail") to a user, such e-mail is NOT confidential, and is identical in nature to that information generally available to the public and news media. The user acknowledges that requests to no longer receive information from the DD will be handled in a reasonable period and that some automated information, such as automated e-mail updates may not immediately cease.
