I have been reading with some interest the various letters of support for various candidates for the office of commissioner. These letters of support often state the many ills and woes that they would like to solve but often fall short of any real or even proposed solution by that candidate.
I know of one candidate who has consistently shown his support and presented possible solutions to what are, in many cases, complicated problems.
That candidate is Rick Campbell [running for Charles County commissioner in District 2].
[...]
I have had several opportunities to talk with Mr. Campbell about various county issues and am impressed with Mr. Campbell’s depth of knowledge. I am also impressed with Mr. Campbell’s willingness to listen and have an honest, healthy discourse with people. Mr. Campbell is actively involved in many community projects such as the Baden health center (Nanjemoy clinic).
This is not a time for partisan politics — it’s time to solve the county’s many problems. I believe that we need to have someone like Rick Campbell serving as a commissioner. He has already proven he understands complex budget issues (something the current batch of commissioners does not) and he has been a part of many hands-on solutions to community problems.
