  • 1. · i.e., a tourism department for $12 an hour.
Another foolish move by the fumbling four!

  • 2. · So, let me get this straight. We're going to pay someone $12.14/hr. to twiddle their thuhmbs until someone walks up and asks how to get to the Mudd House?

What is the one-time cost for a computer kiosk?

My fellow comrades of The People’s Republic of Maryland have spoken. Now, hopefully, someone will make my house payment for me!

  • 3. · Watch what happens to the Crain Memorial Welcome Center after the elections, and when the state $ match for keeping it open ends. This is as far as tourism initiative seems to go in Charles County--part time, low level jobs to tell people where to go. (Wouldn't we all like to that at times!) Info kiosks are not a bad idea. Professional county tourism staff did look into interactive tourism information kiosks and had a potential grant source to fund them two years ago. Leadership squashed that idea. Initiative is not only unrewarded in Ch Co Go, it's punished!
