Commissioners’ Meeting Video for June 25, 2008…

...still not online.  On June 25, 2008, the public hearing for the Jenkins property (Chaney) was held.  In the past, the meeting videos are usually online the following week or so.  Seems to me that perhaps the commissioners don’t want the meeting video shown before their work session…

  • 1. · Unfortunately I am afraid you're correct. It does not take a month to stream the video.

    It would be better to have posted it pronto to avoid the suspicions associated with the commssioners. It does add to the perception that they are keeping information from the public.

    This is not the most media savvy group.

  • 3. · I have called the county numerous times with no one giving me an answer as to why these videos can't be up the next day. Comment periods should be open until two weeks AFTER the video airs. Remember to ask for this at hearings since our county is not as technically advanced or transparent as it claims.

  • 4. · I know Donna Cave asked the commissioners to leave the public record open for 30 days on this issue. She didn't base it on the airing of the videoing - she had no way of knowing it wouldn't be posted by now...however, the commissioners said No. When they were questioned on this, they threatened not to hold the record open at all...
