$17 million project provides space for crowded offices
Service to Charles County citizens and credit to the court system were celebrated and remembered Tuesday when the commissioners and area judicial leaders cut the red ribbon at the new Charles County courthouse’s entrance and unveiled a historical marker for the county’s first courthouse, Moore’s Lodge.
Members of the public still will use the current courthouse for judicial business most likely through mid-November, but furniture is being loaded into the new courthouse and offices are being backfilled, county planning officials said.
