Enterprise LTE: A smelly deal

The last-minute rezoning change on Golden Beach Road on a 3-2 vote is another example of a smelly deal being slipped through by the St. Mary’s County commissioners.

The people of Golden Beach do not want high-density apartments or big box stores jamming up the only access to Golden Beach.

As we near the end of this comprehensive plan review, we hope Kenny Dement will do the right thing and vote with Commissioners Larry Jarboe and Francis Jack Russell to keep Waldorf out of Golden Beach and Charlotte Hall.

  • 1. · It hard to understand how Leader's could approve anything with what they see has happened up in Waldorf when poor planning and the love for Developer's clouds your minds!

  • 2. · I agree, jdman1. Waldorf's sloppy planning and mishmash road entrances and exits isn't exactly something any leader with half a brain should point a finger at and exclaim, "WOW, SUPERB, we need to do that!"

  • 3. · Once Golden Beach becomes Waldorf Like, you cannot go back. And yes, I am one of Larry Jarboe's Slate. It just amazes me that the Hillville re-zoning was confronted and the builder backed down, and right after that the County Commissioners did it again to Golden Beach. Check out our Blog on
