A capacity crowd of 200-plus congregated at the Auerbach Auditorium in St. Mary’s Hall Tuesday, Sept 7 for a Congressional candidates’ forum. The event, sponsored by St. Mary’s College Center for the Study of Democracy and the St. Mary’s County NAACP, was intended to help local voters make informed decisions about their elected officials when voting in the upcoming election.

Candidates for the Republican seat Charles Lollar and Collins A. Bailey shared a table and Democratic candidatesSylvanus G. Bent and Andrew Charles Gall shared another.In their opening remarks, the candidates summed up their reasons for running for the prestigious seat.
