  • 2. · We have been plagued by cats in our yard. We live next to woods- and I guess folks had dropped off unwanted cats.

I didnt realize we had so many until a neighbor found one stillborn cat by his shed- all the others were gone.

So we got traps- we have been catching one aday- lord knows how many we would catch if I had multiple traps out.

The reason I didnt know we had so many- is that quite a few look alike. What I thought was 1 about 6 month old kitten that was at breeding age- now is more than 4. Ive caught 3 that looked similar and of similair size- but heck if the next day, I dont see another one, looking quite like it- creeping around.

So who knows how many there really are-

There is still one BIG monster cat out there-and I know this one cause he is so different, he is real sneaky- he can get up to 3 feet from you and you dont see or hear him- until there he is.

Big and indifferent to shooing he just stares and then walks away. He is a beautiful mahogany with black stripes- much like a tigers but brown not orange- so he blends perfectly in the trees and oak leaves on the ground.

There is one that looks like a bobcat and even has the little bushy nub for a tail.

I guess the point is- PLEASE< PLEASE, PLEASE- spay and neuter your cats! Even if they get loose, they will not reproduce.

I cant stand to see the little things out there fending for themselves- but I cant give them all homes.

I offered to paay for the surgeries and shots and let them loose again but if I pay then I am legally responsible for them.

I'm glad I didnt, because the one cat has turned into many- many- many.

ANd if you want a cat- the Humane Society gets a new one each day. Some small, some large- some definately feral (if you have a barn, it would be great barn cats) some much more used to people, I guess from people putting out food.

    HELP- folks, spread the word.

A man must learn to understand the motives of human beings, their illusions, and their sufferings. einstein
