Murphy is the person to represent us in Annapolis

Maryland Independent - LTE,

[...]
This free event really became a tribute and a thank-you to those who are running for office in Charles County. Peter asked those who are seeking office to introduce themselves. There were more than 25 candidates present, Republicans as well as Democrats. Peter thanked all of those seeking office for their efforts to serve the county.

In this time of political division, competition and “just say no” politicians, it was gratifying to see the support that Peter Murphy gave to all of the candidates. He urged those in attendance to sign up to support and volunteer for the candidate of their choice. He even supplied forms to help people sign up to volunteer for any of the candidates.

Peter’s campaign is more than just an effort to be re-elected to the House of Delegates.

It is the essence of what is good about politics and politicians.

  • 1. · My personal Views:

I like Peter Murphy and his thoughtfulness before speaking, his graciousness to others, his belief in his fellow man, his stewardship of the land, his love for his family and also the way he represents us in Annapolis.

He is one we can be proud to represent us.

PS: Have you ever seen him and his grandson together: I did on Monday at Piney Church- maybe at 4, our future hope for SMD.

    Ditto.

My fellow comrades of The People’s Republic of Maryland have spoken. Now, hopefully, someone will make my house payment for me!

  • 3. · Ditto from me TOO !!!

Peter Murphy was THE ONLY - ONLY.. Politician that reached out in a letter to Wayne Cooper to explain this Training Camp in Nanjemoy...

Of course, there was no response...

Got Peter Murphy !! YOU ROCK !

  • 4. · I'm with all of you...Peter Murphy is the ONLY current local politician who has the integrity and honesty which is so sorely lacking in politics today.

Of course, I know of 3 others who are currently running for local office who also meet those standards!!!!!! smile

  • 5. · DITTO to all of the above.

My favorite Peter Murphy moment was when ALL the Commissioners plus MurrayMac&Sally; and Fink had a behind-closed-door, secret meeting about the CrossCountyConnector. BUT...NO Peter Murphy in attendance. Murray made it sound like Del Murphy wasn't aware of the meeting which is why he didn't attend...SNORT! He was aware all right and he chose NOT to attend! Smart move for sure!

We are indeed lucky to have Del Murphy as our representative.

  • 6. · Just think how terrific things would be with more people like Peter Murphy holding public office. It is great to hear how many people share this view.

Creekworks are you serious that Mr Cooper didn't respond to Del Murphy's letter that was marked "urgent"? At least we don't have to deal with THAT embarrassment any longer.

Let's keep Del Murphy in Annapolis, and elect more people like him. Fortunately this year we have some real positive choices, not the lesser of 2 evils.

  • 7. · Quote from 17 year old after meeting and speaking with Del. Murphy, "If the world was full people like him {Del. Murphy} it would be a much better place."
