NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETING
Application for State Discharge Permit 07-DP-0841, NPDES Permit MD0002674:
Mirant Mid-Atlantic, LLC, 8301 Professional Pl., Ste. 230, Landover, MD 20785 submitted an application for renewal of a permit to discharge an average of 1176.9 million gallons per day of noncontact cooling water and miscellaneous plant wastewater, 8,000 gallons per day of treated sanitary wastewater, and variable volumes of storm water from the Morgantown Generating Station, located at 12620 Crain Hwy., Newburg, MD, to the Potomac River and Pasquahanza Creek (both Use II waters).
The Department will hold a public informational meeting on the application for the above discharge permit on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 6:00 P.M. in the cafeteria of the Piccowaxen Middle School, 12834 Rock Point Rd., Newburg, MD 20664.
