Emergency legislation making mortgage fraud a crime for anyone involved in the deceptive mortgage transaction.

I know a few who are pretty smart people who have been caught up in very deceptive practices and it has been a protracted nightmare to untangle- the mortgage mess sets off all other creditors, who raise rates, and pulls people further in the hole.

Those should be in jail and money recovered.

Instead they just change their scam and keep defrauding but in a different way.
