A total of 1,306 notices of foreclosure sales were issued in Maryland during the second quarter of 2007, representing a growth of 425 notices or 48 percent over the second quarter of 2006 and a rise of 98 notices or eight percent over the first quarter of 2007. Prince George’s County with 374 foreclosure sales represented the largest share statewide (28.6 percent). Baltimore County had the second largest number of foreclosure sales with 183 auction notices representing 14.0 percent of the total, followed by Charles County (140 notices or 10.7 percent) and Anne Arundel County (112 notices or 8.6 percent).
